BIO
Sunlight giving way to shadow, then the hope of a new dawn.
Slow Autumn’s songwriting honours the beauty and challenge of everyday life - exploring pain, peace, love, and joy.

Hailing from Belfast, Northern Ireland, and fronted by vocalist and songwriter Andy McClenaghan, Slow Autumn craft music that sits where heartland rock meets reflective Americana. Their sound draws as much from Dylan and Springsteen as it does from the storytelling spirit of Faulkner and Steinbeck - songs that reach for truth in the quiet details of ordinary lives.
Their debut album, Daylight Heart, Moonlight Soul (2025), was recorded over a winter of long nights and cold mornings. Mixed by Paul Pilot (Duke Special, Beth Rowley) and mastered by Alan Douches of West West Side Music (Sufjan Stevens, Kurt Vile), the album was tracked live to capture the energy and honesty of a band united.
In a world increasingly shaped by contrived perfection, Slow Autumn celebrate graft and grind - the gleaming brilliance of the ordinary. Their music finds hope in the grit and grace in the everyday.
